fantastic Arizona Outreach

With your support, we had a fantastic Arizona Outreach. We want to give you a special thank you of appreciation. Through your financial support you helped make this a effective and life changing outreach.

We had discipleship training from 6 pm to 9 pm for Indian Bible College freshman and others. One Navajo couple traveled for 2 hours to be there for the Walking the New Path discipleship training.  Through Lesson 1, we were training how to effectively share their faith, using the Romans Road and many Native examples and illustrations, including Warriors for Christ’s tracts. Can you get to heaven by playing basketball, The Flight of the Eagle, and The 4  Seasons

With Lesson 5, they learned how to have victory through their relationship with Christ.  One woman said that ” this is just the type of lesson we need on the reservation for our home group.  Many in our group are struggling with broken homes, depression, teenage rebellion, and drug and alcohol abuse.  We need the victory that Christ gives us.”

On Wednesday, we provided discipleship training for Mountaintop Assembly of God church in Flagstaff AZ. After teaching on having victory through Jesus , we had a time of application.  Everyone wrote down things they were struggling with on a card – sins, habits, attitudes – and put them in a bowl.  Then, Gordon prayed, taking them up to the cross of Calvary, leaving their problems at the foot of the cross, and returning down the hill in Christ’s victory.  Many came up to us after the service and said that even though they had known these principles in the past, Gordon presented it in such a way that it was clear and understandable – they could apply it to their lives and ask the Lord to change them from the inside out.

Then on Saturday, we had a full day workshop with upperclassmen at the college. We sent out an invitation to over 30 Pastors in the area. One Pastor came all the way from White Mountain Apache Reservation with 3 elders.  We covered Lessons 3 and 4, Who is Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and what He does for us.

It is hard to relate by letter, the positive reactions we received from the students and the church. Again, it demonstrated the power of God’s Word. Thank you for making all of this possible. Please pray that we will have sufficient funds to return this Spring, and that we will be able to meet some people that will want to join with Warrior for Christ to take God’s Word and discipleship to the Nations!

COME JOIN US THIS FALL-Major Discipleship Outreach

COME JOIN US ON OUR ARIZONA OUTREACH

“Pray for Dillon who is an alcoholic, drug user and severely depressed. He hates living and doesn’t know how to feel or be loved. Please send him someone to show him a way out. Open his heart and eyes to the light and give him hope…

There is hope through Jesus for Dillon!    Help us reach others like him.

Native Americans are still the forgotten mission field  with less than 2%  Christians, yet the Great Commission reminds us to reach first our Jerusalem – America..  It is only through Jesus Christ  that there is any hope for Native Americans dealing with alcoholism, drugs, despair, and the highest suicide rate among youth.  Sustainable faith  in Jesus Christ among Natives can only be created when they are reached through discipleship  by their own people.  Warriors for Christ  is called to help fulfill the Great Commission to the Native church.

We are planning a major outreach this Fall. We will be returning to Indian Bible College  in Flagstaff, Arizona for Evangelism and Discipleship training for the freshman class.  On Saturday we will have a workshop for returning students, and area Native leadership.

Then we will be going on to a training at Pastor Cid Cota’s church in Show Low AZ.  He is also organizing a Pastors workshop on how Warriors for Christ can help  them reach their reservations.

During a panel discussion of Native Pastors, the question was asked “What is the greatest need in the Native church today?”  The answer was given by Pastor Ken Pretty on Top, of Crow Agency, “DISCIPLESHIP.”

Team up with us.  Together with Warriors for Christ –YOU  can reach the  Native churchWith  your partnership, through your  prayers and financial support, we will be able to provide this discipleship training.

Specific areas your financial gifts will cover include:  Airfare, rental car, lodging, a meal for students at IBC sponsored by Warriors for Christ, and complete sets of Walking the New Path for freshman students and Native Pastors..

Please join with us as we head out with the Good News and His Word.

November 17, 2016

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

howard-terpning-old-country-buffet-the-feast-native-american-print-2.gif

We hope that this Thanksgiving you will be celebrating with your family and close friends. Thanksgiving is a traditional holiday for Native people. We think of the Plymouth colony as the first Thanksgiving, but we know historically that a time of thanking Father Creator for a bountiful harvest and for His creation were celebrated throughout the Americas.

You can make this Thanksgiving very special. —

Around your Thanksgiving table pray by:

  • Thanking the Lord for all He has done in your life- family, friends, your home, your very life, your salvation.
  • A special prayer for the Gospel to be effectively presented to Native Americans and that the Holy Spirit would reveal Christ’s love for them!

This Thanksgiving, please pray about making a special gift to the discipleship training of Native Americans.

The following are specific needs we have right now:

    • DSLR Camera – $300.
    • Scholarship fund – A gift of $250. will help Native leadership stay for a week long discipleship training at “Warriors Path”
    • Part time salary for website, technical, and illustration support – A pledge of $200. per month will give us staff support for Warriors for Christ Online ministries /  see–https://www.youtube.com/user/WFCrejoice
    • Chart room – for polyurethane for floor –  $55. With this we will be ready to move in
    • Ongoing monthly support – Will you make a pledge of  $100. per month?

Just visit www.wfconline.org     —    at the top of the page click on “You can Help” – then, click on the “Donate” button at the bottom of the page and use our secure site to make your pledge via PayPal.

This Thanksgiving, reclaim this special day and remember your many blessings by giving thanksgiving to our Lord.

“‘Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; make them remember that His name is exalted.’ Praise the LORD in song, for He has done excellent things; let this be known throughout the earth.” Isaiah 12:4-5

    In His Service,

  WARRIORS FOR CHRIST NEWS

  • Warriors for Christ Online YouTube channel: is up and running.  You can go to the channel and see videos of Walking the New Path.  Search Warriors for Christ Online and go to the Warrior on a horse  Currently, we are finishing Lesson 1, Finding the New Path, which has 3 parts.  These life changing videos can be a training tool for disciplers, for small group discussion, or for the general public.  The videos  have been well received. In addition, we have Light for the Path videos which are topical studies.  In the future, we will be adding Native testimonies.

  • Reaching Out: We are reaching out to Native Pastors on reservations and in urban areas to bring discipleship training to Native churches. It is our goal to provide training workshops in Native churches, to see lives changed, empowered by His Word, and then leave Walking the New Path, so those who have been through the training can disciple others. If you are a part of a Native church, give information with your Pastor about Warriors for Christ.  We are available for discipleship training in your church, or at the Warrior’s Path, the Warriors for Christ headquarters in Port Townsend, WA.

  • disciplship-center-insideDiscipleship Center: Through a generous gift, Warriors for Christ we will be able to finish the Discipleship Center.  We are so excited about this gift. but we could use your volunteer help with insulating, sheetrocking, painting, putting in a woodstove, etc.  Your men’s group or youth group could come as a mission trip.

  • Prison Ministry: The prison ministry continues to grow, but could use your help to write letters and pray for those in prison.  Please let us know if you would like to  bring Christ’s hope to those that are in a hopeless situation.

  • Warriors for Christ outreach: Be a part of helping Warriors for Christ minister in your church. Whether a Sunday morning service, weekend workshop, or a weeklong discipleship seminar, WFC would love to share Christ’s hope for the Nations to your church, reservation, or with a group of family and friends.  Please share our Facebook and Youtube with your friends and family.

  • Expansion: We want to expand Warriors for Christ by recruiting and training Regional Directors to represent Warriors for Christ in their area by going into Native churches to provide discipleship training.

  • Warriors for Christ Facebook page: We are adding the written material of Walking the New Path under notes– to accompany the YouTube videos of the course.

  WALKING THE NEW PATH

(Below is an excerpt of the Warriors for Christ discipleship course, Walking the New Path. Each newsletter we add a new section each newsletter.)

(LESSON 7, Talking with your Father Creator – Prayer, Part 1)

Introduction:

As you walk along the path, you hear your Father Creator’s voice again and you say,” Lord, I am here. “Why don’t you come sit on this rock and talk with me?” says Father Creator. You answer, “I didn’t know I could.” Father Creator replies, “Because you have a relationship with my Son, you can talk to me anytime.”

When you read God’s Word, the Lord through the Holy Spirit can talk to you, but you need to talk to Him also; we call this prayer. Thus, we can have two-way communication. Through the Word He talks with you, through prayer you talk to Him.

Isaiah 30:21

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

Philippians 4:6

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

There are many examples in the Bible of how Father Creator is moved (responds) to our prayer.

  • In Genesis, we see the power of prayer when Joseph went from being in jail to being in charge of Egypt

  • In Exodus, the Red Sea opened for Moses and the Children of Israel passed through the waters on dry land

  • Angels opened the jail doors for Peter

  • Your greatest prayer was when you asked Father Creator to save you and forgive all your sins through His Son, Jesus Christ

As you read His Word, the Holy Spirit within you helps you know what His will is and when you pray according to Father Creator’s will, He acts!

James 1:5

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

 Psalm 32:8

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”

Hebrews 4:16

“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

SPECIAL OUTREACHES- and YOU/ Fall 2016

Fall 2016

WFC- DISCIPLESHIP:

Spotlight: Donette Fulton

Donette grew up in a family that attended the Shaker Church.  Because she had never really studied the Bible herself, she had a lot of confusion about God’s Word.  She has come to discipleship off and on for the last 2 years and has consistently attending for 6 months.  As she reads, and meditates on the Word, she is growing strong and stable.734955_1091396810902185_5996208743372979399_n13244756_1139811416060724_8698403874708488988_n

It has been a joy to see her grow in the Lord.  Even as hard circumstances have come into her life, she turns to the Word of God, prayer, and her brothers and sisters for support. She said in discipleship class a few months back that she would like to teach the Word to others in the future.

As we look forward to the  Discipleship Class at S’Klallam Worship Center, located on the Port Gamble Reservation this September, we are excited to see how the Lord is going to use His Word to change lives. There are some expenses that we will have such as gas, the WFC course Walking the New Path and other costs related to this local discipleship training.  Please pray about supporting  this nw_tribes_mapoutreach on a  monthly basis.

We are continuing to reach out to Native Churches first in the Northwest, and then as funds become available will spread the circle. We are available to do training for a weekend, a week, or even longer.  We do need help on transportation, food, and WFC materials.

WFC – ONLINE:

In addition,  this fall we will be developing  an online course of Walking the New Path. We have already made a introduction video to this series on our new Warriors for Christ Online YouTube channel.  Come by and check it out at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvUaJPOqzd0  My son Trent is helping us film this course and  is really doing a Great job!  Right now we are filming outside in the State Parks around Port Townsend. This provides a neat background for being on His Path- the theme of the course.DSC_0003

This special Warriors for Christ Online Discipleship Outreach will be able to reach Native Leadership, and Native Churches in America, Canada, and beyond.  We will first put the lesson  on YouTube, then on our WFC Website under Discipleship (see http://wfconline.org/discipleship-material/ ),  and then put on our WFC Facebook page. The potential audience could be over 5,000. Maybe you would like to help our Online Staff in the necessary follow up that is needed to make it truly discipleship training, not just a Bible study.   It is all about changing lives through the power of His Word.

PEACE-IN OUR TIME ??- Light for the Path

(click on link above for our Special Christmas Video for YOU)

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” Luke 2:14 ESV

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6- ESV

In a World with terrorism in the Middle East, ISIS attacks in Paris , cyber warfare from China, epidemic diseases in Africa, earthquakes, and other natural disasters, how can we have Peace?

“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” Matthew 24:6-7 ESV

In a Nation with home terrorist attacks like the San Bernardino shootings and Boston, violence in cities, organized crime, economic pressures, and dysfunctional families, how can we have Peace?

In a Tribe with alcohol abuse, drug abuse, domestic violence, cousins killing cousins , and youth suicides–four in just two weeks in Alaska, how can we have Peace?

In our personal lives filled with addictions, disappoints, health issues, fears, and financial problems, how can we have Peace? How can we ever hope to have PEACE???

-915f3607993c9584

In the World — maybe we should stop trying to be the policeman of the world, but by example be a “light on a hill,” a sanctuary of Peace and liberty.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 ESV

In a Nation— fight violence by helping the “Family” have family values. Teaching our kids to respect parents, grandparents, and right to their own property, and privacy.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Eph. 6:12

In a Tribe--to respect the elders, and traditional values of speaking truthfully, not stealing, taking responsibility, and encouraging the youth to be all they can.

Peace with God:

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 ESV

Yes! It would be hard to have World Peace, National Peace, and Tribal peace.

Yet – despite all the problems we face, we CAN have Inner Peace– through the love and grace of our Father Creator.

“When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.” Psalm 34:17 ESV

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” Ephesians 6:12 ESV

First, we need to make peace with God.

Why you ask? Because we have broken the relationship with Him, we wanted to go our own way.

We are all sinners and that broke the relationship that our Creator wanted with us. Because He loves us so much He took care of our sinful nature by sending His only son– Jesus Christ as our perfect “Peace Offering”. Christ became the best Gift that anyone could ever receive. We now we have a choice to accept His Free Gift of a New Life, and restore the relationship with our loving Father Creator.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” John 3:16-17 ESV

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 6:23 ESV

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”Romans 3:23 ESV

Take Action now.

“… if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

INNER PEACE –Through your New Life in Jesus Christ

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2 ESV

This Christmas, YOU can have this Inner Peace despite the World, Nation, or Tribe we live in.

You have a choice. Ask the Lord into your life, and let him bring this Real Peace into your life. If you do this you can affect your family, clan, tribe, nation, and even the world.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27 ESV

“For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans 8:6 ESV

528347_327795490680275_969831834_n

As a Christian — you can claim the promises of peace that are given to you in His Word.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope” Romans 16:20 ESV

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 ESV

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” Isaiah 41:10 ESV

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

If you are a Christian, and are not experiencing all that the Lord wants for your life-

then “Walking the New Path” the discipleship course written by Warriors for Christ is for YOU.

Warriors for Christ can help you get on and stay on His Path.

If Warriors for Christ can help you find this real Peace this season, just text us (360-302-0960) , give us a call, email us or leave us a message on Facebook-

“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. “ Matthew 2:11
Christians are Christ’s gift to the Creator. As we follow His path, He is in the process of making us good gifts.

We hope you had a great family time this past Thanksgiving, thanking our Father Creator for His many blessings. As we look toward Christmas and the end of the year, Warriors for Christ wants to thank you for your prayers and financial support in 2015. It has been a year of great blessing, and we look forward to 2016.

Brown’s Story:

The enthusiasm and dedication of our discipleship class has been amazing. Let us tell you about Brown Fulton as an example. Brown has been attending discipleship class faithfully for the last two years. Not only is he committed to coming, he encourages others to come and learn about who they are in Christ and the path God has for them. He agreed to put his testimony on YouTube. He said that if one person is drawn closer to the Lord, it would be worth it.

Like Peter, Brown is a fisherman. He is often on Puget Sound, crabbing, shrimping, and fishing for salmon or halibut, sometimes right up to discipleship class time. Recently, he had a one hour boat ride to get to the bay that was open for fishing. He sat out all day in a very rocky boat because the wind was up, and one hour boat ride back. But even after his long day, guess where was he at 7 pm that evening?– at discipleship class.
