Finding Your New Path

Winter

Bitter winds of winter blow across the land.  there is a feeling of helplessness.  Loneliness sets in.  Gray clouds hang low.  Trees are broken with heavy snows.  So it is with our lives, with the anger, disappointments and bitterness of our past and the present filled with broken families, alcoholism, drug abuse, hopelessness, and even suicide.

Spring

After the harshness and hopelessness of winter, spring offers a renewing of life.  As spring approaches, the store lodges have grown empty.  So too, our lives feel empty, unable to deal with the cares and hurts we have.  Yet with spring, also comes new life and new hope, like the mountain flowers pushing up through the snow.

You are not alone.  The Father-Creator offers us love an hope.  When we feel helpless and want to give up, we are more willing to accept a loving hand.  The Creator wants to show you His love now!  Like a seed planted in Spring, the Father-Creator offers us a new beginning, a new life.

The Son of the Creator, Jesus Christ said “I came that they might have life and might have it abundantly.”  (John 10:10)

Springtime offers choice.  We watch the weeds and thorns grow like the hurts that our people experience.  But, we can plant new seed with the hope of a full harvest.  Jesus Christ offers a new hope for our lives.  He said, “I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father [Creator] but through me.”  (John 14:6)

Even though we have broken our Creator’s law and committed many wrongs, our Father-Creator offers us forgiveness and eternal life with Him.  Trying to be good and trhing to purify ourselves will not do it.  We only need to ask for Hisforgiveness, accept it, and believe what the Creator’s son, Jesus Christ, has done for us.  “But God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  (Romans 5:8)  He sacrificed His life so that we could have fellowship with our Creator.

The choice is yours…will you accept the Father-Creator’s love?  “That if you confess with your mouth Jesus iks Lord, and believe in yoiur heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  (Romans 10:9,13)

Summer

The sun is shining and we see growth all around us.  It is easy to relax and just have fun.  But, if we have not planted  good seed and have not plowed and watered the fields, the summer heat brings destruction.  When everything appears to be going well, the bad seeds of bitterness, hat and hurt can destroy our lives.

Fall

Fall arrives, the summer sun fades and the harsh winter winds are heard in the mountain tops.  We either fear the future or celebrate the full harvest.  Fall brings  fear when we realize that we are not prepared to face the bitter cold and Hunger of winter.  We can be prepared and fullfilled by praying the following prayer.

“Lord Jesus, I need you.  I open the door of my life and receive you as mySavior and Lord.  Thank you for forgiving my wrong doings and giving me eternal life.  Take control of my life.  Make me the kind of person you want me to be.  Amen.”

Now, we have planted the good seed and accepted Jesus Christ into our lives.  Our store lodges are full and prepared for the long winter.  We can celebrate!!
